As tensions cool on the Korean peninsula, many remains of servicemen lost in the Korean War will be eventually repatriated to the United States. DNA samples are needed from these 6,000 families in order to make it possible to attempt to indentify remains in the future. May-PBS KOREAN WAR DOCUMENTARY On Memorial Day, PBS will be hosting an entire evening of documentaries on the Korean War, including the debut of "Korean War Stories." War Stories includes over 30 Korean War veterans and contains many photographs never seen on TV before. The documentary includes pre war history of the United States and Korea, up to signing the armistice in July 1953. The documentary will also have a VHS tape and a book is in the works of the men and women interviewed for the show. Blair was a 1st Lt Platoon leader, and then later CO of I Co in 1951. There's a nice picture of the doll with his parka and M1 rifle, plus other equipment, plus a nice write up of the 7th Infantry Division in Korea. Take a look!
